#29. How do I take the Team Calls Quiz, and how is it scored?

Players

Audience: Players (anyone with an active membership on a team
that has at least one active code).

Short answer: From the Team Calls page, click Take Quiz. You
get one question per active code, 15 seconds each, with letter-then-
chip selection. At the end you get a score, a letter grade
(A/B/C/D/F), and a list of any wrong answers to study.

How the quiz works

  1. Pre-quiz countdown — 5 seconds to orient ("Get Ready 5… 4…").
  2. Each question shows the meaning of one code. Read it carefully.
  3. Type the first letter of the code in the input box (A–Z or 0–9
    for codes like "5/5"). Auto-uppercases.
  4. Pick from the chips — every active code starting with that
letter appears as a tappable chip. Tap your guess.
  5. Click Next (or just wait — the timer auto-submits whatever's
    selected when it hits 0).
  6. Inline feedback — chip flashes green for correct, red for
    wrong. Auto-advances after a beat.
  7. Results screen at the end — score, percent, letter grade, and
a "Calls to Review" card listing every wrong answer with your
answer in red and the correct one in green.

The 15-second timer

  • Starts when the question loads. Top-right corner of the question
    card.
  • Turns gold at 5 seconds left.
  • Turns red and pulses at 3 seconds left.
  • At 0:00 — if you have a chip selected, that's submitted as your
answer. If not, the question is recorded as wrong (no answer,
    timed out).
  • The server enforces an 18-second window (15s + 3s grace for slow
networks) — you can't beat the timer by stalling on a slow
    connection.

Grading scale

Score Grade
90 – 100% A
80 – 89% B
70 – 79% C
60 – 69% D
Below 60% F

Reviewing your past attempts

Click My Quiz History on the Team Calls page. Every attempt is
listed with the date, score, and grade. Click Review on any
completed attempt to see exactly which codes you missed and what
the correct answers were.

Notes / gotchas

  • You can retake as many times as you want. Every attempt is
saved — your coach can see your effort, not just your best score.
  • Abandoned attempts (you closed the app mid-quiz) are auto-
marked as abandoned after 24 hours. They show up in your history
labeled Abandoned and don't count toward your average or best.
  • The pool refreshes every attempt. All currently-active codes
are quizzed each time, in random order — there's no subset
sampling, so every code gets covered.
  • Synonym pairs (e.g., one code with two equivalent names) count
as either form being correct. Most teams don't have these unless
    an admin sets them up.
