Audience: Players, parents.

Short answer: Open the tournament event and tap Going. If the
event has an entry fee, you'll be taken through the registration flow
(line selection + entry-fee bill + no-refunds agreement) before your
RSVP is finalized. Until you complete the bill, you'll show as
turquoise (going + unpaid).

Step-by-step (paid tournament)

1. From the team calendar, open the tournament event.
2. Click Going.
3. Pick the line you're playing on (if the event has multiple lines).
4. Review the entry fee and the no-refunds notice.
5. Confirm — this:
   - Posts the entry-fee charge to your ledger.
   - Records your RSVP as Going.
   - Reserves your spot on the line.
6. Open your team payment page (link is in the event-create email
   and the event-reminder email) and pay the bill — Stripe card,
   Venmo / CashApp / etc., or whatever methods your team accepts.
7. Once the team confirms payment (or Stripe auto-clears), your dot
   on the event card flips from turquoise to green.

Step-by-step (free event)

If the event has no fee, tapping Going simply records your RSVP —
no bill, no extra steps. Your dot is green.

What happens behind the scenes

• The platform no longer lets a paid-tournament RSVP slip through as a
  bare yes. As of 2026-04-27, marking Going on a tournament with a
  fee always routes through the registration form, which produces an
  EventRegistration row and a Tournament entry: {event} charge in
  your ledger.
• Until the charge is paid, your registration's payment_status is
  unpaid and the calendar dot is turquoise.
• If you later need to back out, see FAQ #1 (a leader uses the
  Remove button on Manage Tournament Lines).

Notes / gotchas

• One-week reminder. If a tournament is exactly 7 days out and
  you haven't paid, you'll get a FINAL NOTICE email with a pay
  link, and your team admin will get a one-click Keep on Event /
  Drop From Event link to free up your spot if you can't pay.
• Weekly balance email. Every Wednesday morning, anyone with an
  unpaid balance on any team gets a single summary email with a
  pay link per team.
• Event-create and event-reminder emails include a direct link to
  the team payment page — no need to dig through menus.
