Audience: Team leaders, members with the FINANCE role.

Short answer: Use the Remove button on the Manage Tournament Lines
page for that event. It does everything in one click — voids the ledger
charge, clears the RSVP, and removes the player from the roster.

Do not go to the player's ledger and void the bill manually. That used
to leave the player on the roster. (Fixed in the 2026-04-30 update — voiding
the bill now also unregisters the player — but the Manage Lines flow is
still the simpler, intended path.)

Step-by-step

1. From your team dashboard, open the tournament event.
2. Click Manage Tournament Lines (team leaders / FINANCE role only).
3. Scroll down to the Registrations table.
4. Find the player you want to withdraw.
5. Click the red Remove button on their row.
6. Confirm the prompt: "Remove {player name} from this event? Their
   ledger entry will be voided."

What happens behind the scenes

When you click Remove, the system automatically:

• Voids the player's tournament-entry ledger transaction
  (status = VOIDED, void_reason = "Registration removed by <your name>").
• Deletes the player's RSVP for the event.
• Removes their registration row from the event roster, freeing up the
  spot on the line.

You do not need to void the bill separately first. One click handles
the full withdrawal.

Notes / gotchas

• Only team leaders and members with the FINANCE role see the
  Remove button.
• The void reason on the ledger will read "Registration removed by
  " — this is normal and is the system's audit trail.
• If the player has already partially or fully paid the entry fee, the
  void zeros out the balance due. If a refund is owed, that's handled
  separately through your team's payment flow — the Remove button does
  not auto-issue refunds.
• Once removed, the line spot opens back up and another eligible player
  on that roster line can register.

Alternative path (also valid)

If you happen to be in the player's ledger instead of the event
manage page, voiding the tournament-entry charge there will also
unregister them and clear their RSVP. Both paths produce the same
end state. The Manage Tournament Lines → Remove flow is the one
designed for this use case and is what we recommend.
