What did this payment pay for?

When you pay several charges at once, it isn't always obvious which ones the money settled. Now you can check it yourself — every payment shows the exact charges it covered, with dates and amounts.

01

Open your balance and go to Payment History

From your team, open Balance. The Payment History tab lists every payment you've made, newest first.

Read the breakdown, charge by charge

Every charge the payment settled is listed with its date and the exact amount applied to it. The total at the bottom should match what you paid.

Older payments say so, instead of guessing

Payments made before this feature existed weren't itemised at the time. Rather than show a breakdown that might be wrong, those say Attribution not recorded. The money did reach your account — the record of which charges simply wasn't kept.

Attribution not recorded

This payment was approved and applied to the account, but the record of which charges it settled was not kept. We will not guess. Payments made from now on are itemised in full.

Paid more than you owed?

If a payment is larger than your charges, the extra is held on your account and goes to your next charge automatically. You'll see it on your balance page — it isn't lost and you don't need to do anything.

$30.00 on your account

This was paid in advance and goes to your next charge automatically.

If the numbers don't look right

The page shows the charges you chose when submitting separately from where the money actually went — usually the same, but not always. If a payment didn't cover what you expected, send your team's finance manager the date and amount; they can see the same breakdown you can.
